Strong Arm Family (SAF) is more than just a name it is a Movement. When it was created back in 1999 it was meant to first Strong Arm your mental (mind) and put it in the right state to give yourself a chance to succeed in life and in any other endeavor you choose and in our case it was music.
It’s hard to believe that when we first started hardly anyone if any could count bars. It was all about coming from the dome that means straight from the head and that is what it was in the beginning, nobody wrote nothing. Once they learned how to count 16s there was no more freestyle sessions.

We had people coming from California, New York, Virginia, W Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Alabama and Florida. But once the freestyles stop so did a lot of traffic.
We started creating songs so now it was time to perform. We started contacting venues and Booking agents but when we couldn’t get no love from venues or Booking Agents because we was local.
We decided to Strong Arm the industry by organizing and hosting our own Talent Shows and Show Cases. That lead to SAF collaborating and networking with community leaders and other artist from different areas in the Tri-State and before you knew it we were performing everywhere and getting a lot of news coverage.
We did a lot of things back then but that was then and this is now.

A lot of people still asked me how did we come up with the name Strong Arm Family and you will probably hear several different stories but here is my story as to how we came up with the name.
First I use to see Reggie “Dog” Webb & Chris “Mad Money” Murphy when they meet they would head butt each other hard as fuck screaming Strong Arm.
One day Donald “Peanut” Houser, William “Woo” Houser and Chris “Mad Money” Murphy came to the studio on 240 South Forth Street and recorded a song and I remember hearing Strong Arm Baby, Strong Arm Baby in the hook and I liked it.
I remember walking with my young boi Dre and I was telling him that I had to come up with a name for this thing that I was starting and I call it this thing because I had no clue what I was doing, I only knew what I wanted to do.
I told him about the name Strong Arm. I said that would be a perfect name because I recently broke my right arm playing football for the Army and I had went through a point where they were talking about possibly having to cut it off but, I got the plate removed and to me it became stronger so the name Strong Arm made it feel like all this was meant to be.
I just didn’t know what else to put behind the Arm that would make it meaningful and Dre shouted out Family. Strong Arm Family yeah that sounds good. Strong Arm Family was born.
There is a salute to members of the Arm when we meet and when we depart and we say that we are giving each other The Arm.
Anthony “AntBone” Perez says in a Facebook comment on my page recently that it was him that came up with the salute and he has my credit because I really don’t remember, so until someone else claims that they did something this is my recollection.
One could only image the struggle, disappointment, heartbreaks and pain a person goes through trying to achieve a dream, on April 27, 2019 Strong Arm Family will be introducing the New Strong Arm Family at the Knights Of Columbus 336 E. Garfield, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
There will only be 50-60 tickets available because we only want true fans and supporters.
Stay tune for more information in the coming weeks.
